When guests ask Hosts to cancel but Hosts are penalized.

So I have a current guest having difficulty getting a new place. Then I speak with the next scheduled guest if they still coming into the area. They are willing to cancel before the 7 day window due to corona virus fears. They send me a 'cancel by host' request to which I complete. Now my calendar is blocked for the first guest to extend their days. The frustration behind trying to fix this mess is too much. After 4 years as a 'superhost', it is time to complete my contract with the last guest scheduled and get out.

@Pat26  Although that message sent asking if you want to agree to a cancellation "cancel by host" is something a lot of hosts are unaware of, and extremely sneaky, it has always existed and any host cancellation incurs the penalties. Hosts need to click on decline, which forces the guest to cancel from their end. Of course, Airbnb doesn't make this clear anywhere.
