Hi @Sheema0,

What are you thinking in terms of where to put the tiny house? Do you have an existing piece of land or property it will go on?

I've tagged @Joe-and-Julie1 @Rosalie49 @Rosebud0 @Leigh625 @Martin4106 @Mary1523 and @Nathan4083 as they’ve discussed tiny homes and glamping in the past. Hopefully, they can provide valuable suggestions and tips based on their experiences.

@Justin2179 recently shared his experience on 👉Creating a glamping retreat with a geodesic dome. There are some great pictures he shared about the process.

Additionaly, you might also find the thread "Best way to host a Tiny home" by @Yeli109 to be helpful.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone shares to help bring your vision to life. 😊

Hay, i have a small piece of orchard land which i can use, im thinking may be with the orchard theme of some kind

I don't have a tiny home yet, but one day....

I have a spot at my back paddock that one day I think would be perfect.

The things I have thought about:

1. Making sure I don't impact the neighbouring farms so a tiny home means keeping it small to 2 to 4 people and that keeps noise down

2. Small independent travel is by far the largest group of tourists in my area (I downloaded the local council tourism strategy to get insights)

3. Don't want to run power, water etc acros 3 paddocks so a contained tiny house would be perfect including solar panels, water tank and runoff

4. Easy to clean being so small (compared to my very large 6 bedroom house on the other side of the property)

5. people expect a campfire although in an orchard sounds wonderful, you could get away with hopefully not having one...

6.i would have to get a tiny home that is very well insulated for the all weather conditions we get here, from -2C to 35C, unfortunately might mean aircon but I would try to avoid that because that would draw way too much power if just relying upon solar panels and a battery

7. a little bit of landscaping goes a long way, comfy chairs, nice maintained greenery of some type, ensure it doesn't turn to mud when it rains so no bare dirt, gravel or grass

8. how to ensure guests can get their vehicle close to the tiny home. they are generally city people who bringing wheelie bags not backpacks, so asking them to trudge up the hill to a tiny home via a non-paved path isn't going to cut it

9. everything electric inside to avoid bringing gas tanks in (and safer)

9. might need to build a shaded outdoor structure that is for sitting/eating under, like a picnic bench or table, plus also serves to collect rainwater. need to make sure its higher than the tiny home for gravity fed or ensure tiny home has a water pump of some kind

hope this helps
