Airbnb should offer fully refundable booking fees

I see other providers are offering FULLY refundable holidays in the UK up to 7 days prior to check in.

Its a shame Airbnb are not following suit for those who have moderate or better cancellation properties.

It is even possible that Airbnb claiming that EC does not apply for bookings post March 14 would be challenged in court so they may as well make a positive out of a negative

I don't suppose Airbnb will listen but its worth a try!

The trouble with this idea is that a deal hunter type guest could book up your place for a couple of weeks, then at t-8 search and find a cheaper/better place then bail out and leave you reading the do not pass go do not collect 200 card.

Unless you are a last minute booking ace, not much in it for a host.

@Elena87 oooh yes - I didn't think of that. Perhaps not a good plan although I still suspect that if hosting were made illegal by a country or region then Airbnb would have to refund anyway.
