Best disinfecting solution for coronavirus is infrared lamps at the flats.
Dear friends ,
Professional medical labaroturies and hospitals use infrared lamps that kills all kind of viruses in the field. It is a speacial lamp with a special plug. Maximum two hours plug time is enough to clear all kind of viruses in the air or on the spaces. It is very easy to find and buy from lamp providers. I have put each plug into each room. After guest check outs before arrivals, we immediately put lamps to start cleaning air. So before arrivals, flats will be disinfected . We also give lamps to the guests and explain how it works . They are plugging lamps while they are out.
This worked very well for us and makes all people more comfortable and feel safe. I have informed all my future guests and I have received very positivitie feedback.
Please note that you must not make direct eyes contact with lamps at all. It may damages your eyes.
Hope it works for all our community as well.
Best wishes,
Evrim

UV-C lamps are widely used from many years. Very cheap and effective solution against viruses, bacteria, etc. But they are not for home use. The UV light is very dangerous- can cause sunburn, permanent damage to eyes and generates large amounts of Ozone- a harmful gas, when used in closed spaces.

I would like to know what UV lamps are best and if AIRBNB would help with all or part of the expense, since it takes so long to clean my rental due to COVID-19. I had many cancellations, due to COVID-19, but did not qualify for any money, because reservations were booked before the time allowed and stays were also not within the time frame. A long term stay from UK guests was cancelled, for September, due to COVI-19, but it didn't count either. So I feel that it would help if AT LEAST SOME of the cost of UV lamps could be covered to help us out for the peace of mind of our guests and hosts.

In response to the last comment: I would only use them to sanitize and would remove before guests came. I would also leave the rental while the UV lights were running. I see others have been using them.

Would an Ozone generator have the same effect?
I have one which is used for removing the unpleasant cigarette smoke (even though i have a total non smoking policy, some guests seem to think that its ok to lean out of the window to smoke).
I understand it is also used as a room disinfectant, there is some mention of it killing the Coronavirus but have yet to see a confirmed report.

@Chris232 , Ozone generators are not really perfect either, they stopped using them on production lines and most hotels years ago although occasionally I will get a whiff of one when I'm in businesses that try to keep dust down and it makes the air smell so clean and Phosgene gas kills Virus's (and humans)!

So true, UVC is the safest and when this technology is used correctly can be the most effective means of disinfection without compromising on health, AND the WHO endorses UVC as opposed to chemical, ESS or ozone alternatives
