Can someone tell me how to change my account to where I collect occupancy taxes instead of Airbnb?

My county recently cancelled it's contract with Airbnb and Airbnb is no longer remitting occupancy tax on our behalf. Airbnb is still collecting it and I am unable to get them to refund it to me so I can pay it manually.

Can someone please tell me the steps/ where on Airbnb I can go to set my preferences for me to collect the tax directly?

I will be eternally grateful for the steps!!!!

if you use "professional tools", then there is a Tax section in the listing where a variety of taxes can be added (I use it to collect "Tourist Tax"). i can provide a screen print. Not sure if this feature is also offered in the US.

Your listing now shows these taxes are collected by Airbnb:

Sales and Use Tax (Florida)

Local Sales and Use Tax (Discretionary Sales Surtax) (Santa Rosa)

If Airbnb is not remitting it, then they should stop collecting it.

I assume this affects all hosts in your area.
