I think that it should be the first and foremost important thing for AirBnB India to start.

Foolishly I followed airbnbs advice and made my cancellation policy flexible, now they refude to compensate me for following their advice. I have also been a superhost for years but have recieved no email even though it is my primary source of income.
Thanks guys x
@Gary50 No one has received any emails re the Superhost grant. Everyone is waiting.

Two days ago (May 4th) I saw a post where a host who owns 2 separate businesses as well as multiple rental units who couldn’t quite understand why he was able to obtain a grant but did. He received $2,000.
Not that he was complaining. But he was seriously puzzled as to how he might be considered more deserving?
@Ian-And-Anne-Marie0 Yes, and there have been hosts reporting here who said they received the 25% back on their cancelled bookings who have moderate and even flexible policies. One with the moderate policy, Ann, got refunded for a reservation that fell pretty on the exact same dates as a reservation of mine that was cancelled as far as date when it was booked, date when it was cancelled and date of check-in. Yet that reservation on my account, also with a moderate policy, is marked as non-eligible.
It seems that their algorithms for these refunds and grants are just as faulty as the "price tips" and "similar properties to yours" algorithms.
I don’t have any problem with any or all hosts regardless of their cancellation policy receiving compensation payments. All hosts deserve payment and more flexible policies should have been treated as equally as the strict policy holders. That would only be fair.
All cancellations seem like a cash grabs currently, and that’s not on the guests side.
@Ian-And-Anne-Marie0 Yes, it would have been nice if Airbnb had found a way to reimburse all hosts, regardless of their cancellation policy in some equitable fashion. I can accept, though, that if we wouldn't have received anything on a cancellation anyway, due to the policy in place, that we aren't reimbursed. What I can't accept is that Host A with a moderate policy gets a refund and Host B, with the same policy, and virtually the same booking, cancellation, and check-in dates, doesn't. In other words, the refunds seem to be randomly applied, and not following the stated guidelines. Hosts with strict policies have been reporting the same- some reservations being refunded, and others, that fall under the same parameters, being told they don't qualify. None of it seems to make sense.
Whatever your thoughts on the company, it is plainly obvious that their words don’t match their actions and those actions are inconsistently applied.
Its all just been badly handled from the very beginning.
Thanks, not recieved any updates from airbnb themselves.
Don't expect anything. The funds are a lie.
I am assuming that no one has received the $5,000 ?
I can not find a link to this application. Is there a link?
@Kathy912 I don't think it's going to be so simple that you just one day see a deposit of $5000 in your account. There is no application process. Airbnb will decide who is eligible and send an invitation to fill in forms, I guess. I wouldn't hold my breath about receiving anything, if I were you. If you do get a notification, it will be a pleasant surprise.
And we are suppose to be partners!!????
It’s baloney!!!
Hi there.
I have a question:
I have a guest that made a reservation pre-March 14th, for May the 5th. She requested an alteration on March 29th for the reservation to start the 1st of June, which I accepted. Then she cancelled on the 22nd of April. Airbnb refunded them in full.
My question is, if a reservation is cancelled due to COVID-19 related circumstance, with a check-in between March 14th and May 31st, does it still qualify it as a cancellation under the EC Policy considering the new reservation/alteration was made for the 1st of June and after the 31st of May deadline that airbnb stated?
Many thanks
I would say your covered however Air bnb keeps changing the rules regardless if States are open or not!
