Covid pay out

I was very impressed to receive an e-mail and video from your chairman at the time of lock down to say that Airbnb would give 20% to hosts during the time the property was blocked 

A friend has a property in Switzerland and told me the other day that she received payment

Will I ?

@Marilyn390 If you have not already received anything then the most likely answer is no.

The payout was 25% of what the host would have received under their cancellation policy. Unless you had a strict policy its very unlikely you would get a payout.

@Marilyn390  You're probably thinking about compensation for bookings cancelled due to Covid-19, in which Airbnb overrid the host's cancellation policy. There are not, and never were, payouts to hosts whose calendars were blocked.
