Declined cancellation during covid outbreak

Hello, fellow hosts, in this current situation with the covid outbreak, there are still other Airbnb hosts who don’t accept cancellations? isn’t it inhuman to do such thing? that their guests cannot travel due to travel bans and fear of covid infection, and yet they don’t accept such cancellations? there is a property in Baguio City, Philippines who doesn’t accept cancellations. iy is easy to cancel in agoda and other OTAs even if the reservation is non-refundable but with this airbnb property, so difficult. how can the airbnb community help with this situation? thank you

@Suzette48   It's not possible for an Airbnb host to "not accept cancellations."  Every booking made through this site can be cancelled. But it's not every host's policy to automatically grant a 100% refund.

Airbnb is currently overriding hosts' cancellation policies for bookings beginning up to 31 May. If this applies to you, and you're not able to process the cancellation, you'll have to contact Airbnb for technical assistance. Try to restrain yourself from calling the host "inhuman." This crisis is no more their fault than it is yours.
