I am a previous host on Air BNB and i am here to talk about an experience that i have had as a guest. I rented a room for a week, with the promise that i could rent for long term if i liked it. The place was advertised as 1 bath and 1bed... i assumed that the bathroom was private. However, when i went there the bathroom was shared the host toiletries was all over the bathroom, there was no space for me to put my stuff. her belongings were also in the room. She sleeps on the floor in her living room and give up the bed for Air BNB guest. Anyway, i confronted her about not posting her place as a shared bathroom and she did not like it. Additionally, even though the room was spacious it was smelling mucky, i did not enjoy staying there, so i left after a week. To my surprised the host posted an ugly review about me kicking her cat multiple times, trashing her room, breaking her door lock breaking her shower etc. Please note she has camera all over her apartment. Does Air BNB have the right to published bad reviews without investigating and verifying the information first? I am having a hard time getting other guest to rent me, they all read this one bad review which is all lies, and no one wants to rent me. Shouldn't i take action against this host for defamation of my character? I am a 67-year-old preschool teacher.... there is no way in this world i would rent from someone and trash their place or kick their animals. I was never in conflict with this woman, we talk nicely to each other, i said bye when i left her home. I had no idea that she was going to tarnish my reputation on this sight This woman goes down on her knees to pray every day. What God does she pray to? Please, i need some advice here. Thanks.
