Hello everyone 👋
As the year comes to an end, many of us reflect on how the last 12 months have gone. Whether it was full of ups, some downs, surprises or interesting meets, I think it’s safe to say we’ve all had yet another big year. ✨
With that in mind, I’d like to invite you to look back on 2024 together: can you think of one word that encapsulates the past year for you?
Looking forward to reading all your words of choice! 😃
Wishing you all the best,
Rebecca
Amazing!
First year for me!
Yay! I'm so glad to hear your first hosting year was amazing @Carrie614 😊
What was the biggest lesson you learned?
I’m looking forward to hearing more about your experience!
Thanks for your kind words and interest! I learned so many things - LOL!! One is that it's more difficult to do a "quick" turnaround than I thought... another is that we can appreciate what we have in our own area through our guests' eyes - many times we as "locals" don't take advantage of all our hometown area has to offer. We also learned that people are basically the same no matter where they come from.

Hello @Muhoro0, thank you for sharing your word,
What was the biggest risk you took in the past year?
Regards
I've had a quiet year. Only started Airbnb in mid 2024, I think.
Winter months were very quiet.
Aine.
Thank you for sharing, @Aine3350. Where is your listing located, and when is the peak season there?
Regards,
I live in Cobh, Co Cork and I'm relatively new to this. I'm hoping things will pick up in March/April...

Hello all!
For me the word would be: Fulfilling.
Thank you for sharing this, @Tomás151! 😊
What was the most fulfilling experience you had in 2024?
Looking forward to hearing from you!
To Me the word was " Thankful". I am very thankfull for my guests kindness. In 2024 ee did had some problems with our jacuzzi , And it happened many times. Even though this was a big problem my guests still gave us 5 stars and recommended our place to their friends and in their comments on Airbnb and Google.
I see the importance of being present, be able to have a conversation with our guests, to have somehow a closer relationship. Be able to be present and try to solve the problem, they can see in your eyes that you are doing everything you can to help them and make their staying a wonderfull experience.
Today everything is technology, computers, electronic messages.... and I see that when you are able to give some time to tell the history of your family, the house, the city...maybe share a meal together..... You just climb the next level. Afterwards, we still humans and there are somethings that technology will never be able to do better than a real person.
I wish everyone a wonderful 2025 ! Lots of Peace, happiness, a good heath and money in our pockets.
