Does Airbnb have the website designed to cater to long term ( 30 days +) guests such as professionals seeking part time place.
I have reviewed the website and have been a host since 2018. Now because of local laws I cannot rent for short term and shifted to longer term rentals. I have read that Airbnb is welcoming and marketing for long term stays, but the website and rules are not really deigned to cater to the 30 day plus renter. .
Anyone have experience with this or updates I might have missed?
Thank you!
Connie

@Constance-And-David0 You are correct, the platform isn't set up for long term stays in any way that protects hosts, even though Airbnb is pushing them (because that's what lots of guests are looking for).
No real security deposit, having to fight tooth and nail to get re-imbursed for damages, only the first month's payment guaranteed, no protection when a guest becomes a tenant after 30 days under local laws and therefore hard to evict, no criminal record check or references.
If you are wanting to take on a long term reservation, meaning you have a tenant as opposed to a guest, it's foolish to do it through Airbnb. It should be done in the traditional way that landlords vet and cover themselves when they take on a new tenant.
