Former London guests trying to rebook before lockdown?

Any other British hosts had former guests who are London residents trying to rebook? I’ve had two who grew up in Brighton want to come here before our capital gets locked down. They want to stay with me as short-term lodgers. 

Both appear to have kept my number (which I always give out when guests arrive) and have rung me direct.  I’m thinking bolting out of London is the same as panic buying.  They’re spreading the virus, and taking up local resources. Both people want to work from my home -but if they get laid off they will be unable to pay the rent or buy food. 

Lodgers have some rights, possibly even more so right now. I’m trying to make my finances last as long as possible. I might end unable to ask them to leave and be stuck with them long term. And I’d have to feed them. I wouldn’t let anyone starve.

I said no to both of them.
