Help I got a1 star slanderous review

After 8 years of being an Airbnb host, I had my first guest asking for a refund for 1 night He claims the bedding was not fresh. It was. I refused to give him a refund as his claims were untrue. He then went to Airbnb and got a full refund for the 3 nights. He then gave me a defamatory 1 star review. Airbnb are refusing to remove it. I feel like leaving. This guy was clearly a scammer.

@Alyson2  Sorry this happened to you, it happens to lots of hosts, unfortunately. 

With 8 years and 218 reviews under your belt, you are actually fortunate it has never happened before. Forget about it and move on. Future guests are not going to believe one lying review among all your pages of good ones.

@Alyson2 I looked at his review and your review and I'm just wondering if you may have been fooled by your cleaner. He's got a lot of recommendations and doesn't seem like a scammer. Did you visit the cottage after he left? Im just curious. Anyway I only mention it because there may be a bigger issue here.

Thanks but my cleaner is very reliable and trustworthy. She had not changed the name on the welcome board and had not emptied the shower drain but it was done the time before so could not have been that bad. It’s dodgy that they slept the night and then complained in the morning.
