I can't find any details on what air bnb charges or how I get paid

Seems they put the cart before the horse. When I clicked  "be a host" it just takes me right into describing my property, posting pictures, descriptions and then posting the place like I'm ready to rent. Um, I kind of need to know a lot more before I am ready to put my place out there. Right now I am in research mode. Where can I find info on what does Air BnB charge, what are the rules/regulations (fine print), how do they pay me? Where is all this info??

@Nicole2740 for short term rentals Airbnb charge the guest 14.2%+tax and the host 3% + tax. There is an alternate model whereby they just charge the host 15%+tax

@@Nicole2740 and the payment is released to you 24 hours after check in. It is paid pretty quickly via Paypal, about 4-5 working days later into a bank account but this varies by country.

Airbnb Help section has loads of info but is hard to navigate. Better to search using that famous search engine that starts with G.

A help page on payments:  https://www.airbnb.com/help/topic/1359/payments-pricing-and-refunds

Terms of Service (fine print):  https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/2908/terms-of-service

Additional rules and regulations might apply at the level of your city or county government; it's best to be fully up to date on these before publishing a listing.
