In my messages between the host and I, we were given a screenshot of what the mbps would be. I didn't expect it to be 200mbps all the time but ever since we've been here it has been, on average, about 4mbps. They said they have done everything they can but I feel as if it's false information. We rely on internet for work/school/gaming. Everything else is fine but what can we do to solve this issue?
@James3362 ask the host to allow you to move elsewhere and that they refund unused nights to you if you can't live with this speed. The only issue you may have is what the listing says for speed. If it is silent and the discussion was 'off platform' you may not get help from Airbnb.
Good luck
The screenshot of the internet speed was sent to me through airbnb messaging.
I believe you can ask for a refund through Airbnb Support. That's a false advertisement.
If this is in a semi-poblated place in the U.S. the owner could call the internet company and upgrade the speed.
What is semi-poblated?
