Hello Community,

David here, 5 year superhost, but very limited experience on this page.  Also, I'm somewhat technology challenged. 😉

So, the cottage my wife and I live in has been our main airbnb space for years.  It is in New York state, and because the rooms we use for hosting are in our home, we have decided to suspend having any airbnb guests till we feel the pandemic issue is not a concern to us.

With that, I blocked said rooms on the calendar and posted a front page paragraph stating such on each of those rooms.  That worked out ok...I thought.

But, We have another property that we just started listing early 2020, which we don't live in, and is nowhere near our home, and is "supposed" to be available now.

It is listed on the calendar as available, but I just noticed that the same "suspending hosting" paragraph showed on the page for that property!

Obviously, that's not a great way to attract guests!

On the listing page as one is scrolling, there is all the usual stuff,  including "select check-in date, then "reviews",  then "location", then "Hosted by David"

The notice I do NOT want on this listing shows up under "Hosted by David".

So, my question is, how can I only have that notice on the NYS rooms page, and was there some kind of operator error that I caused that made this happen.

Aka, what do I do, to keep these listings separate?

Thanks in advance for helping an old dude, with limited computer skills

David

@David242

I am not sure exactly how it works as I have never tried it, but I did notice a short while back on my dashboard, something about a new tool that allowed you to edit content across all your listings, rather than one at a time. Perhaps that is what you did when you added that paragraph?

If that is the case, I don't know how you undo it, other than go into editing the individual listing, making sure only that listing is selected in the drop down list on the top, and remove the text you don't want there.

Thank you for the reply!

@David242  That message you've written is on your profile page, which is why it shows on both listings. You can remove that message and put something more generic on your profile instead,. Then, add that 'not hosting' message to the top section of the listing description for your private room listing. You can also elect to 'snooze' your private room listing so it is hidden altogether from public view, for now.

Thank you!
