London - don't stay here

I tried to plan travel to London back  when COVID caused all the cancellations; and this host pretended to be understanding to the situation and my having to cancel by no fault of my own - flights were cancelled and borders were closing... but they refused full refund when I was forced to cancel.  I would not recommend using any of their listing, not people I would want to work with and support.

Listing was: "Amazing 2 Bed Apartment Close To Clapton Square" Apartment - Entire home/apt hosted by Miroslav

Wanted to share, as I fully support those who are decent and understand they should NOT Profit on others' misfortunes when they did not provide any service what so ever... these are not that type.

If your dates fell within the guidelines, @Brad580 , you should have qualified for extenuating circumstances. Take a look in the Help Centre to see: https://www.airbnb.ca/help/article/2701/extenuating-circumstances-policy-and-the-coronavirus-covid19.

I am no fan of hosts having to be their guests' travel insurance, but you say this host promised a refund and then didn't follow through. I'm no fan of that, either. 

Have you contacted Airbnb? Are they saying you do not qualify?
