My Superhost GOAL: 20 in 2024, Let's go PHILIPPINES!
For more than 5 years now, seeing the Airbnb Superhost BADGE and email, still brings me to CLOUD 9 and reminds me of the purpose why I keep fighting for my team every single day!
I'd never thought from humble beginnings of just having 1 property, we are now turning 8 properties!
Handling an Airbnb outside the country, I thought was a piece of cake as everything can just be managed online....boy, I was wrong!
I also thought I was the only one who was having endless issues with the wrong contractors, property managers, cleaners, nightmare guests and the list goes on....the people that I connected with initially all those people did not care and all they are focused on was to be a quick rich millionaire!
Meeting property owners overseas who reached out also was an eye-opener for me who had the same challenges and experiences. This inspired me to find my tribe. Even though it was a very long and tiring exercise, I trained my local team and shared with them my vision and mission as we focused on building a long and lasting relationship with the people we work with. Finding the RIGHT people with the RIGHT attitude, and RIGHT mindset is so important. Eventually, I found my team..... Even though Integrity, honesty, hard work, and openness to learning are no longer trending these days, these are TOP on my list always.
I am grateful to my team because they do care for our guests, owners, and their properties. We stand with them and fight with them every day to create a sustainable livelihood to pay it forward.
It is not easy, not a perfect life to do what we do but Airbnb has created a sustainable livelihood with our local team which helps change their lives for the better!

Hi @Char-At-Reina-Suites0 !!!! I completely resonate with your sentiments, as I too manage my properties remotely. Balancing this alongside a full-time job, I understand the complexities and challenges that come with not being physically present at our listings every day.
Like you, I have been hosting for several years, and the journey has been a mix of rewarding experiences and hurdles.
I completely agree that manpower is a critical aspect, and finding individuals who are not just in it for the money but truly care about hosting can be quite a task. It's essential to have a team that not only shares our vision but also strives to make every guest's stay feel like a warm, welcoming experience. ❤️
Hearing about your success in assembling a team that aligns with the ethos of your short-term rentals business is truly inspiring. It's a significant milestone. CONGRATULATIONS! Building such a team is not just a step but a leap in the right direction.
As we both go thru this path, I am reminded that though the road may be long, it is filled with opportunities for growth and success. I wish you continued success and many more joyful hosting experiences. Here's to more milestones and the journey ahead!
