Apparently there was an update or something that I don’t have. For example on the app I don’t have the new today tab. I’m brand new to this so hopefully this makes sense?

@Wendi55 There isn't any new platform ( the platform means Airbnb itself) and yes, there were some updates, but they don't always update at the same time in all areas. It isn't something you control. You could try clearing your cache and cookies and see if things look different, or even uninstall and reinstall the app.
Also, there are some things that appear on the desktop version that don't appear on the app. In general, more features are available on desktop and sometimes if something isn't working right on the app, it will work on desktop.

@Wendi55 I took a look at your listing, and it looks nice, but I found it confusing. You don't use your own living room and kitchen- that's all for the guests? It sounds like you only use the office downstairs, but if guests share your kitchen and/or living room with you, you need to make that clear.

The guests have the downstairs area which consists of a bedroom, bathroom, living room with a microwave and mini fridge. A curtain separates their space from ours. On the other side of the curtain is my office and the stairs leading to our living space. We do not share the kitchen. I’m open to all suggestions!

@Wendi55 Sorry, I somehow missed the part where you state your living area and your kitchen is upstairs. I feel you have listed this incorrectly. What you have is not a private room listing, but a private suite listing. A private room listing is usually just a bedroom and possibly a private bathroom, but guests share the common areas and kitchen with the hosts and/or other guests.
What I would do if I were you is come up with some kind of door between your office and staircase, as opposed to a curtain- it makes a huge difference in terms of whether the guests feel they have privacy or not. Would that be possible?
I also wouldn't mention that the house is 1800 sq.ft. because that is immaterial- the guests only have a portion of the house for their use.

I have my first guest as we speak. A door is coming, I actually decided that tonight! I will update the listing and remove the square footage. I really appreciate this feedback. Thank you so much!
