New Review Public Posting Policy from Airbnb CS

Hi All

I just had my 2nd guest of 2022 check out April 12 .  We both posted very good reviews within less than 6 hours.  I happened to (tonight) go back incognito to reread the guest review.  The review shows on my account profile reviews but not publicly.  WHAT??  Thought that when both host and guest post their reviews that both are made public.

Surprise!!!  - Apparently according to Angela at CS service Airbnb has changed the policy for posting public reviews.  Even though both parties post reviews, it now takes 48 hours for the posts to become public.

I can't find any information on this new policy.

Anyone have any thoughts, ideas, information??

Thanks

@M199 I see two reviews from 2022, the latest from ‘Amethyst’ (the guest from Hell). Is that the one you’re referencing?

The answer from Angela at customer circus sounds like exactly the type of gobbledygook often pulled from thin air when they don’t know the answer. I don’t see a change in the wording of the policy, and it doesn’t make sense anyway. Probably was just a glitch.

@Colleen253

Thank you for responding, I don't know what to believe with Airbnb anymore.

Why can others, such as yourself, see a public review, when the host can not?

Yes, Amethyst. I  still can not see her review publicly, but here it is from my private profile page (see below).

Just to clarify for anyone reading this... the guest profile is from Hell, Michigan, USA, not "(the guest from Hell)".

The 48 hours response is bogus. They will say anything to get off the phone with you. Is it a guest from out of the country? They post those at the end of your reviews, so look there for it.
