Hello everyone! ๐
Welcome to the Community Center! ๐ I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Elisa @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands ๐ณ๐ฑ I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling๐ฒ, playing footballโฝ, and travelling๐ . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : ๐ I was born in Gujarat, India ๐ฎ๐ณ , and shifted to Toronto, Canada ๐จ๐ฆ last year! ๐ท I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. ๐ When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia ๐จ๐ด and currently living in British Columbia, Canada ๐จ๐ฆ. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance ๐) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries ๐ and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking ๐ฒ and hiking ๐.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist ๐ฟ and like to minimise my impact on the planet ๐ as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming ๐ yoga on the beach ๐งโ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! ๐
@Elisa : I was born in Italy ๐ฎ๐น and as a lover of unique experiencesโfrom exploring the streets of Rome๐ฎ๐น , Paris ๐ซ๐ท, and Toronto ๐จ๐ฆ to appreciating timeless art and cuisineโI'm here to blend the old with the new.
@Alex : I'm originally from Spain ๐ช๐ธ, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto๐จ๐ฆ this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey โ๏ธ. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports โฝ๏ธ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. ๐ฅ
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards,
Bhumika
Dear @Paula
I wanted to share with you that I've been hosting guests since June of this year and recently welcomed my second client last weekend. I'm excited to let you know that our business has received two very positive reviews, and we are incredibly motivated to maintain our high standards and continue providing an exceptional experience for our guests.
regards, Marius
That's great news, @Marius303 โcongratulations! ๐
I wanted to share some information about our community with you, in case you find it helpful in the future:
In our community, there's a fantastic board titled ๐Ask About Your Listing, where both new and experienced Hosts come together to share tips on enhancing their listings through ๐Critique My Listing threads.
Please take a look and let us know what you think.
Regards.
Hello, everyone!
My name is Nicole. I am originally from and currently reside in Chicago, Illinois. The Airbnb units I co-host are in Naples, Florida. I have been visiting Naples my whole life. It is a special place to me.
I am looking forward to learning and collaborating with the group.
Hi @Nicole3858
Welcome to the community! ๐
Weโre happy to have you here. I love Chicago and its architecture.
Would you mind sharing why Naples is so special to you?
Warm regards๐ป,

Hello, Brett here. Been hosting for about a year now and just launched our second ABB. Exciting stuff. Really love the community and reading these posts. Thank you.
Hi @Brett-And-Megan0, Welcome to the community! ๐
Itโs awesome to hear that youโve just launched your second Airbnbโcongratulations! ๐ What have been some of your biggest learnings or surprises since you started hosting?
Since you've just listed your second property, I would recommend that you ask the Community for a listing critique as it could be very helpful receiving feedback from fellow Hosts. Read more on how to ask listing critique by clicking here๐

Hi everyone! I am from southern California. Now I am hosting three rental properties, one in Mission Viejo, one in Laguna Hills, and one in Upland. I have multiple listings for each property, making the total listings over 80! My biggest frustration is Airbnb's discrimination against us hosts. When a guest reports something to Airbnb, Airbnb now does not even give a chance to allow me to voice my side of the story before reaching their decision in the guest's favor. This does not happen to me once. It happens so many times that it has become a pattern in which Airbnb would rather kiss the guests' butt without any concern of hosts' benefits. Let me give you the most recent example. A guest from South Korea sent pictures to Airbnb claiming my place is dirty and does not match the photos of my listing. His original reservation is one month. He wanted to check out in five days. Without hearing my side of the story at all, Airbnb simply granted his request and processed the refund of the rest 25 nights. I called the customer service and sent numerous messages requesting an opportunity to voice my side of the story. Every time someone in the Resolution department would told me he or she would call me, but after about two weeks, I still do not receive any call back from that department. My only interpretation is they are so embarrassed to call me back. And you know what, that guest has been on Airbnb for only one month. Airbnb would rather ** but treat me, a host over ten years, like **!

@Quincy: ๐
We are approachable, friendly and helpful.
Some of the attractions that I enjoy and trust that visitors will also, are namely:
Dunns River Falls in St. Ann, an adventurous climb from bottom to top, best aided by a tour guide.
Castle Botanical Gardens in St. Mary, which also includes a river as a combo.
James Bond โฑ in St. Mary to enjoy the sunshine ๐ and relax.

Hello All,
I'm Amber. I am originally from New England (East Coast), USA ๐บ๐ฒ, but currently live in NE Ohio.
I'm an avid reader, writer, editor, and do substantial magazine and newspaper writing for communities.
In my spare time I love to cook, (read more), draw, kayak, travel, and meet new people.
I'm an empty nester-ish with a hospitality management background and some time on my hands. I joined Airbnb after my dog died (she was a rescue and fearful of people).
I love my home and after seeing my neighbor do it, I thought I would just start. Its already been very rewarding to help others and do what I love (make people feel at home).
