Hello everyone! 😊
Welcome to the Community Center! 👋 I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca and @Elisa and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘 and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌
@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards,
Bhumika
Team AirBnB - Together with my wife Sharmila, we host visitors to our farmhouse set on a fenced 5-acre lot outside Houston, TX, and to our Adobe house which we have built from scratch on our land

The Adobe house is hand-made from natural materials with no air conditioning and we live in one of the sections.
We welcome any guidance on how we can promote our sustainable living experience.

Hi there, 😊
We're very new to hosting on Airbnb, but we're learning a lot every day and excited to be part of this great community. We’re located in Villa de Leyva, Colombia 🇨🇴 – a town famous for its stunning colonial architecture and the largest cobblestone square in the Americas! Fun fact: Villa de Leyva is home to a 120-million-year-old fossil of a giant sea turtle, which was discovered right here!
Looking forward to sharing our place and learning from all of you!
Hi @Milton-Javier0 😊,
Welcome to the community center!
Thank you for sharing this insight about your town. I didn’t know that, and it’s so interesting. 😍
What is the last thing you learned on Airbnb? Is there any specific aspect you would like to learn more about in the future?
Warm regards🌻,

Thank you Elisa for the welcoming. 😊
Recently I learned how to configure the pricing for a minimum number of people and charge by indiviual an specific amount until the full capacity of the location. Aslo, how to set rules for specific time of the year.
We are trying to learn more stategies not only to increase our reservations but also how to bring more or better expieriences to our guests. The goal to get a batch for guess preferred or maybe superhost, which is a long way but working hard every time.
It has been fun learning how to do a proper hosting and also delivery the best of your guest.
Thanks again and looking forward to learn more in this community. 🙏
Hi, I'm Nancy from East Texas. I love the beautiful countryside where I live. I love the sunrises, the sunsets, and the gorgeous skies . . . and the occasional visiting pileated woodpeckers and bobcats.

Hi Bhumika,
I am Marie and I am from South Africa. Since I retired from my full time job, I have had this dream of providing short-term rental as something to keep me occupied (apart from being a DIY decorator and gardener :-)).
Hi @Marie10481 😊,
Welcome to the community center.
Congratulations on your retirement! 🎉
You have a wonderful hobbies. 😍
Since you are a DIY decorator, did you decorate your guest house by yourself as well?

Hello Bhumika and everyone.
I live in Washington State in the US and am on the verge of hosting refugees on Airbnb. Any of you who have done this and are willing to share your experience and any advice you might have I would really appreciate it!
