Hello everyone! 😊
Welcome to the Community Center! 👋 I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Elisa @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘 and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌
@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.
@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards,
Bhumika
Hi Rebecca,
Thanks so much!!
A few of my favourite things to do are - sunsets at Gympie Terrace over looking the Noosa river, the sunsets here are stunning :))
Mount Ninderry climb with magnificent views overlooking the Noosa hinterland and Maroochy river.
Noosa National Park walk - Little Cove beach to Hell's Gate, this walk takes you past some of the best surfing beaches in the world and is arguably one of the most stunning coastal national park walks.
Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve is a 3km sub-tropical rainforest loop walk that takes you thorough lush vegetation with an abundance of bird life and pademelons ( small marsupials ) to finish with awesome views of the Glass House Mountains whilst enjoying a cream tea....whats not to love!!
@Radhika25 That sounds incredible 😍 Does any wildlife pay your studio visits at times or do they stay in the Parks and Reserves?
Yes we live directly opposite the National Park so we are lucky enough to be regularly visited by kangaroos, kookaburras ( every sunrise & sunset! ) , black cockatoos, a huge array of parrots, blue tongue lizards and the occasional carpet python....its a haven for wildlife! :))
Hey Everyone,
I'm John and I live in Redondo Beach with my wife, daughter, cats and dog.
I've had a successful run as an Account Executive in the software space and feel fortunate to work for a company who's primary focus is AI.
I am currently a cohost for 1 property in Auburn, CA but I'm making a big push to grow that number to 5 by the end of this year.
I'm here to learn from those who are further along than me in their journeys and help those who are just getting started.
I'm a member of a national cohort of Short Term Rental owners/cohosts where everyone goes through an extensive course filled with impactful lessons to help us grow our business and offer unforgettable experiences for our guests.
That being said, I'm happy to be a resource for anyone here who hasn't been able to find the answers they've been looking for.
I'd love to learn what other people are working on and see what your listings look like - I'm sure they're amazing!
(I think my first version of this post went to the wrong thread so I'm reposting for visibility)
Hello @John8525,
A huge welcome to the community!
How are you finding being a co-host so far? Has there been a particular aspect that has surprised you, whether in practice or from the course you took?
You've come to the right place for inspiration, ideation and support! The Community Center is full of Hosts who, like you, are willing to share their experiences and their knowledge when it comes to Hosting.
You can have a browse through the many boards we have here, jump into any discussion you have insights to share on, or start a conversation by asking a question yourself!
We look forward to seeing you around. 🌟
Hello All! My name is Patti. I live in Western North Carolina right by the Great Smoky Mountains! I love all things outdoors and especially enjoy playing with my three golden retrievers! I love hosting and I am looking forward to working with other hosts as a co-host in my area.
Hello @Patti327,
A big welcome, great to have you here! I would LOVE to see a picture of your three golden retrievers, I am nothing if not an animal lover. 😍
Your cabin looks so peaceful, do you find guests come more to relax or to have outdoorsy adventures?
Hello 👋, I'm Susana, born and raised in Ponte de Lima, Portugal. Ponte de Lima is the oldest town in Portugal 🇵🇹 and is where I help my parents running their house to receive guests. I'm happy to join the community! See you, Susana

Hi Everyone,
My name is Jessica and I am new to the AirBnB community. I have a small stand alone home in Albuquerque, NM, USA and have had three guests stay so far and have gotten lots of positive feedback so far. I don't currently have any other bookings so hopeful that will change soon. Wondering if others experience lulls in their activity or perhaps it depends on location? My space is in a touristy area that generally attracts many people to our town.
Thank you,
Jessica
Hello @Jessica4122, there are very interesting questions.
A great suggestion for getting some answers to your questions is to start a 👉 Critique My Listing thread, where our seasoned hosts can provide insights on improvements to enhance your chances of receiving more bookings.
I hope these tips are helpful!
Hi there,
My name is Jessica and I am a new host in Albuquerque, NM in the Old Town/Sawmill District. Just getting started and learning more about our market. Long time AirBnB user as a guest. Hosting does have it's challenges and I am hoping to have a busy year next year. Thank you.
