Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new. 

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘

@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲

My name is Alek and I was born in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, but raised in Russia. Now, I’m back in Mexico, embracing new opportunities while pursuing my passions—crypto, investments, real estate, travel, wine, and cooking.

This month, I launched my Airbnb, and it’s been fully booked every day! I couldn’t be happier to start this new adventure. My goal is to exceed every guest’s expectations, delivering a 101% experience—simply because I believe in treating people the way I’d love to be treated.

I speak English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, and I’m currently learning Chinese, which allows me to connect with people from all over the world.

One of the key factors behind the success of my Airbnb is its prime location—just a short walk from Cabo’s best restaurants, nightlife, and beaches, while still offering a quiet and secure place to rest. I also focus on providing personalized guest experiences, such as assisting with tour bookings, restaurant reservations, and even special surprises for celebrations.

Hi @Alek882 , it sounds like you have a fantastic setup for your Airbnb, combining convenience with a personal touch! 

Do guests appreciate these personal touches and often mention it in their reviews?

What type of special surprises do you typically offer for celebrations, and how do you come up with those ideas?

I had a large rain storm come through our area and damage drywall in the house.  I arranged a emergency repair with a Contractor in the morning and then in the afternoon there was last minute booking for the next day.  I told the guest about the repair and it was low seasons so she was able to book another house so the guest is happy. Airbnb wants to charge me $485 for the cancelation even though the guest was happy and it was emergency work.   I showed them my communication with my Contractor on the work and that was not sufficient.   The $485 does not go to the guest no it goes to Airbnb massive profit margin.  Airbnb is running a scam the owner should quit his work destroying America at DOGE and come back take care of the terrible customer service and profit scams at Airbnb.

My name is Sharon and I joined Air BnB a while back but this is my first listing of my own place - a bit daunting. I live in Oakland, CA but have lived in a variety of places, including in Sydney, Australia for 7 years about 35 years ago! I love travel and hoping to list my place more if this first jaunt works out well. I have visited most of Europe, South Africa, Argentina and Brazil, Mexico, East and Southeast Asia, and New Zealand - hiked the Milford Track. Looking forward to a trip to Turkey soon and 5 months in London!

Hello! My name is Karlie and I joined Airbnb as a host after needing to relocate. We fell in love with our original home and don't want to part ways just yet. This allows others to enjoy it as much as we have in the meantime. Our home is in Sunriver, Oregon 🌲. We love being caught in the middle of the desert, the mountains, the water, and the trees. We're a stone's throw from the Deschutes River, a short drive to Mt Bachelor. A great set up to book your outdoor activities all year.

Hello, my name is Greg and I currently live in Lexington, Kentucky.  We had a few Airbnb's a few years ago and we stopped due to getting busy with work and having 2 kids.  Now that our lives have settled down, we decided to buy another house and get back into Airbnb community, and look forward to serving travelers and being the best possible hosts we can be!  The new home is in Williamstown, Kentucky.  The house is only 3 minutes away from an incredible attraction called the Ark Encounter!  It brings about 2 million visitors from around the word annually. We are excited to get this property fully operational and evolve to become one of the best properties in the local area.  We are currently finishing up a big renovation that will include a full game room with air hockey, a theater room, and arcade games to make it a fun place for the whole family.  Updated photos will be coming soon :).... I hope everyone is doing well, and thanks in advance for welcoming my wife and I to the community!
