Hello everyone! 😊
Welcome to the Community Center! 👋 I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Elisa @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘 and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌
@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.
@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards,
Bhumika
Hello @Luz985,
Thank you very much for joining our community! We’re so glad to have you here. 😊
Are you hosting in Mexico or Canada? What inspired you to join the hosting community?
If you find it helpful, we also have a Spanish Community Center where many hosts from Mexico share their hosting experiences.
Feel free to join us there!
Best regards,
Hello, Paula!
Thank you for your welcoming! That's very nice of you. 🙂
Currently, I'm just hosting in Mexico. I decided to join this Community to exchange ideas with other hosts and to share my own experience.
I believe I'm already in the Spanish Community, as well.
Kind regards,
Luz
Greetings all - My name is Shannon Fuller and I'm originally from California but have lived in Raleigh, NC for the past 11 years. We have several rentals in the Raleigh-Durham area. Raleigh is a great place to visit because it's close to the mountains, beach, airport, city life, great food but still has a small town community feel. I'm new to STR so learning as I go.
Hello @Shannon1151 👋
Congratulations and a huge welcome to the Community Center! It's great to have you here with us and to hear about your rentals in the Raleigh-Durham area.

Hello! I'm Debra Carlotti and I co-host with my husband Ken Kolb. We are both originally from Brooklyn, N.Y. and, since 1980, have lived in a neighborhood called The Fan in Richmond, Virginia. We have been hosts for close to 5 years. We have a studio in our 1896 Victorian home. We love meeting new people and, now that we are both retired, hope to travel more via Airbnb!

Hello Airbnb community, I am just starting to venture into short term rentals. I am a nurse but looking to move into more real estate. I really appreciate the creative outlet of finding a property and making it my own. I live in Massachusetts but have properties here and in NY.
Hello @Cecilia1396, it’s great to have you in our community—the forum where hosts and guests come together to share ideas, experiences, and suggestions 🌟
A great suggestion for new hosts in the community is to start a 👉 Critique My Listing thread, where our seasoned hosts can provide insights on improvements to enhance your chances of receiving more bookings.
I hope these tips are helpful!
