I am a new member to air bnb and have a booking from someone in Portsmouth who is now tier 4 (my area currently tier 2 and remaining as this). They are not due to check in until two days after the announcement. I have a strict cancellation policy and no refunds. Please can you let me know what happens and who needs to cancel, is it me or the guest? And do I still get paid if they haven't checked in?
@Olivia546 The guest needs to cancel - Its then down to you if you are willing to give them a refund. Perhaps say you will refund if you get a replacement booking.
@Olivia546 I always ask the guest to move the booking to a later date, that way you keep the booking. If guests want to book during a pandemic then it's up to them, however your policy stands regardless of what tier they find themselves in.
Wasn't Portsmouth in tier3 before they moved to tier4?
