Reviews
Has anyone else experienced problems with reviews this year? We have 20 properties with Airbnb and it appears that they only take into account the review of the customer, not the host. I don't think they even read the host reviews. We had one house completely trashed and absolutely nothing. What is the point in them taking a security deposit when they return it straight to the customer anyway without any investigation into why you have asked for certain things to be replaced or repaired? Rubbish this year.

@Emma239 The "security deposit" is a myth; Airbnb does not actually charge it to the guest. You still have to go through the Resolutions process if you want to pursue compensation for damage.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean regarding reviews though.

@Emma239 What are the problems with reviews you reference and who are "they"? Are you saying some of your properties have been de-listed because of bad reviews?

Yes - exactly that. One of our properties was destroyed and they ignored by review completely but suspended my property after receiving a review from the guest. Rubbish this year
