The Worst Customer Service Experience

I just encountered the very worst customer service experience in all the 3+ years that I have been Hosting with Airbnb. The representative asked for my info to verify my account and just as always, I provided the information that he requested. He went on to say he could not find any account with the info I provided which is the same as it has always been! Then he casually acted as if I should accept that and just hang up! The gall! ~ I was calling to inquire about a missing payout for a current guest.  ( He did not offer to try to find some other assistance) If he couldn't verify the info and I informed him that I have an account why didn't he offer some other type of assistance? I provided that same info for over 3 yrs with no problem...I had to insist on speaking with a manager in order to have my account verified. Of course, the manager found the account and the missing payout and informed me that they would have it resolved within 24 hours. Has anyone else had an encounter like this? This angered me so to find that the expectation was for me to just disregard this type of inefficiency. Get it together. This is totally unacceptable.

I’ve actually encountered some pretty rude customer service representatives at the call center that is not US based. 

 

I was asking about a payout and she said really snottily to me, “do you understand now?” Her tone was so condescending, insinuating that I’m an idiot. 

 

I’ve never had an issue with the US based call center.
