Hello everyone,
Hosting means welcoming all kinds of people with different ideas, cultures, and professions. Some of those professions can be really obscure and intriguing, giving you a lot to talk about!
From an operator on an oil platform, to a lion keeper in a nature reserve, to a restorer of aircraft!
Share the most interesting jobs your guests have had!
Thanks
Stephanie

Wowser @Bryan10 bloody cool! Perhaps your designer was over from Pinewood Studios? There are some really fantastic jobs out there, and it always makes me wonder "how on earth did you get into that job?!"
Thanks
What brought them to you? That is so fun.
First time ever,
One guest said that he was a bird. He took a feathered crown from his backpack and put it on his head. At that moment he was proud like a peacock.
Just saying.....
Like many of the others, I don't ask, @Stephanie , but I am sometimes told. So:
• international prize bodybuilder
• Olympic silver medal rower
• set designer
• windmill blade installer
• airline safety inspector
• wildlife conservationist
• professional double bass player
• circus performer
Scariest was the professional cleaner (said so in her bio - yikes!), but she turned out to be very nice, generous with stars, and had a great tip about a brand of soap, which I am now using. 🙂
Best bit of advice - you need lots of retirements. Work for six months and retire for the rest ...

Forensic Scientist for the Police, former Police officers, romance writer, travel writer, actress, however all my guests regardless of job or no job have interesting qualities.
We have had a former helicopter pilot who flew in Vietnam, an Argentine Opera Singer, a Finnish Film Director, a Detroit cop, a Canadian Postman, a Tasmanian police officer.... a French Fireman, a Korean Fashion Editor and a soon to be famous country and western singer from Seattle, so all in all, I’d say we’ve had some fascinating characters come to stay!
Had a man who was an ex soldier bomb disposal...checking out a local school for UXB'S.
A professional green cleaner who used only all eco friendly products who was also a yoga instructor. I was so worried that I offered paper napkins instead of rags and that I stocked the refrigerator with water bottles. Alas, if I had only known in advance!
Also had two women roller derby champions who came with an Olympic track and field competitor. Quite a combo.
an underwater photographer.. a scientist, lots of artists
Journalist, detectives, teachers, therapists, under water treasure-seekers!
One of our 1st guests is a life coach, equine specialist, public speaker and author. AMAZING lady!
This years 1st guest was in town for a comicon and is comic book and childrens book illustrator:)
We have had so much fun with ALL our guests- teachers, nurses, sign language interpreter, car dealer, physicist.... but the above 2 were by far the most interesting!
We had a husband and wife couple who are both journalists for National Geographic. They are writing a story about my community and opioid addiction. They have since stayed twice and we even got to meet their little one.
Airbnb staff on a last minute booking...
And writers, actors, (saw one in a Shakespeare play after his stay), most i dont know what they are, I don't spend enough time with them unfortunately!
