hello
i recently had a person book but they didn’t ever make themselves present. She let her boyfriends stay here instead. & gave me a bad rating because i called her because of excessive noise at 1:15am. She said the place was dirty which it was clean! How can i remove her review or challenge it?
thanks trent stogsdill
I assume it is about B.
Her review does not mention the place was dirty. She pointed out about 'This is not the best place for having a party at the lake side". Which is indeed true, as parties are not allowed anyway !
Your review for B. says:
"Brooke’s group left the place in excellent shape. They are welcome back anytime."
I am confused... nothing about the noise, the party, B. not showing up herself, etc...
It sounds like this was a 3rd party booking. The guest has to be at the accommodation. If this assumption is correct, the other guests should not have been allowed to enter.
@Trent90 Third party bookings are not allowed, and you were under no obligation to accep these people into your listing. It would have been best to bar them entry in the first place.

You could contact Airbnb and ask that the review be removed, as the guest violated the 'no parties' policy Airbnb has in place, and she admits it in the review. But I wouldn't bother, unless she tanked your rating with low stars. Her written review says more about her than it does about you, and won't turn future guests off. It's unfortunate that you left her a falsely glowing review though, as that may frustrate your efforts to have the review removed. Always be honest in reviews.

@Trent90 Although Airbnb does have the policy to remove revenge reviews for parties, It still seems nearly impossible to accomplish. I see many frustrating hours talking to Customer Service in the future if you try. The good thing about it is she admits to having a party in her review. Good luck!
@Trent90 The guest didn't "let her boyfriend stay", you did. You have every right to deny entry, or ask the non- booked guest to leave on a third party booking.
@Trent90 And please don't leave good reviews for bad guests. It's a grave disservice to other hosts. Would you like to unsuspectingly accept nightmare guests because their past hosts gave them glowing reviews when they were, in fact, bad guests?
