Before that check your settings for your listing to ensure that they reflect your current situation. Generally it is impossible to have overlapping bookings, so I am unsure how this is possible to occur...?
Many hosts panic and think their only option is for someone to cancel a booking, however, Special offers or "Alterations" are a very good solution to change a booking when its a little bit wrong. There are no penalties for you or your guest, and change in dates, persons or rooms will lead to a revised Airbnb fee, to suit the new tariffs. Alterations and Special Offers are requests and you send them and wait for a response from your guest. If you offer a slight discount then you will encourage your guest and reward them for making a change. This bnefits both of you.
An extra idea for youto fix this problem is to send a special offer to one of your guests, when you create a special offer, it allows you to change the number of guests, or the room or the dates, you can alter all or some of these things. In this way you can make a change without anyone having to cancel. All fees will be adjusted.
