Anybody out there getting proof of these extenuating circumstances after JULY 1????

Now thy extend cancelation if these people have proof of being effected by the Coronavirus and guess what?!! AIR BNB won't share the information on why they get to cancel. These weasels do not do their homework and consistently crap on their hosts!!!!!.  I WANT DOCUMENTATION. That part of Texas is open and under no restrictions and here in Colorado all restrictions lifted. Had to demand that corporate office address and the bimbo refused. Now it shows up in my inbox because I told her I was recording our conversation@@@@@!!!!! I want the proof!!!!

Just curious if anyone else is able to get some type of proof that they get to cancel penalty free after July 1  ??????.  First the renter had a child's recital magically pop up the same travel dates, now husband is a cop (you don't want to know what I told him!).  This is abuse of power but renters hubby will be held to account on contract even if I have to file small claims in TEXAS.  And now they won't show me why they allowed them a full refund with the supposed proof???????  This company is so full of dung

@Cathy545   Airbnb's Extenuating Circumstances policy existed for years before the pandemic, and it's never been their policy to transfer guests' documentation to the host. You're going to have to assume that Airbnb is giving pretty wide latitude to anyone who booked prior to March 14 if they say their booking was affected by Coronavirus. For bookings made after March 14, I believe the guest would have to say they were currently infected with the virus in order to get a full refund.

Best you can hope for there is that they complete the cancellation quickly so that your calendar opens up for rebooking.

Also, in what way do you acquire the address details of your guests out of interest? It seems that you might be friends on FB knowing about their child's recital? Thats damning evidence of a non-covid cancellation.

@Cathy545 to clarify, you found out your guest whom you never met and know nothing about him or his character works as a cop and you blasted him? Did you do that because every cop is bad or responsible for every bad cop out there? Or because it is fashionable to say something like this right now? It sounds like it was for the best for both parities that they did not stay with you. If I misinterpreted your statement I apologize. 

as for EC, I am glad others are expressing their frustration. Hopefully we will be heard sooner or later
