Changing the currency setting on my account

Sorry if this question has been asked and answered!
If I change the currency setting in my own account to reflect the country where I am making a booking, will Airbnb then charge my card in that currency? Or will they do a conversion and add a fee?  Is there a way to avoid foreign transaction fees with Airbnb?
