Damage claim partially paid by Airbnb after 3 months

Guest damaged our newer hardwood floor, damaged our custom made hardwood tables by leaving unattended candles, etc. On February 12th submitted $2,255.40 claim to Guest/Airbnb, Guest paid $31.74.  Called Airbnb weekly, and 2 months later received a payment of $1,179.30 from Airbnb with no communication why only a partial payment. Two weeks later Airbnb paid $31.75, with no communication. Weekly calls to Airbnb result in frustration with customer service agents "can only forward your inquiry" or "can only submit a ticket on your behalf". Airbnb phone agents deny a method of speaking to a Supervisor, or anyone is Damage Claims. No emails from Airbnb, and although I attempt to document calls via Airbnb message thread, these same messages are either closed or deleted from the Airbnb system. Balance owed is roughly $1,013. Any advise on how to get payment from Airbnb?  I am in California, anyone have luck with Small Claims court with Airbnb?

@Patricia2591  Airbnb doesn't pay hosts for the amount of damages they claim. They pay what they decide is fair, which is often nothing.  They usually consider "depreciation". You're actually lucky you got anything - many hosts don't, despite photos, repair cost invoices, etc

@Patricia2591 you have 7 listings and hundreds of reviews and this is the first thought you've ever given to how to deal with damages?!? Certainly, take ABB to small claims, take the guest to small claims, file with your insurance agency and have them subrogate.... lots and lots of options, daily frustrating calls to CS are likely the most fruitless of all options, but then again, getting half of what you were asking for is better than many have done.
