Describe your hosting style in one word!

Elisa_0-1776346703590.jpeg

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re having a great week!

Hosting styles vary widely among hosts, but many share a common goal of making guests feel welcome and at ease. Some hosts are very hands-on. Others prefer a more independent approach.

Many find a balance between the two, stepping in when needed while allowing space.

What would you describe your hosting style in one word?

I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts!

Warm regards,
Elisa

One word: Flexible!

@Kitty-and-Creek0 , I like that 😉 How do you balance being flexible with guests, while also managing your own expectations?

That's an excellent question!

Another one word description: Hospitality !

We are explicit in our listing and our house rules, about what our treasured guests can and cannot expect to find here. We are home -share hosts, which eliminates at least 90% of issues that plague many remote hosts. Our guests come for precisely what we offer, which gives us the freedom and opportunity to play concierge for them. That's the flexibility item, and it is fun!  We send them to our favorite places to hike, find local birds, appreciate the wilderness, and the night sky. Our vast book and music libraries indulge some, our sunrise and sunset treat others. Many are photographers, architects, chefs, gardeners, hikers, nature lovers. There is something for almost everyone here ~ built in flexibility. We've traveled much of the world and are delighted to host a diverse, international mix of guests, cultures, languages, interests. When we go shopping, we seek out and find special things that we hope add to fun and comfort for our guests. We are privileged to cater to their goals for their stay here, as we live in a sort of paradise, which we absolutely love sharing. Pure Joy!

I love your comment @Kitty-and-Creek0 💕 It's great to see how you value every guest interaction and have created an amazing space that helps them make the most out of your listing.

During a recent shopping spree, have you found any interesting item that you've added to your listing?

Oh, you caught me in the act! I found some fun puzzles (for rain and snow) , a cool book by a local expert, and some exotic coffee!

@Kitty-and-Creek0 I read all the comments in reverse and I was surprised that nobody had used my word "flexible"! I got to page 1 last and you were the second comment! You beat me to it but being able to adapt to different situations, personalities, expectations, and guest needs has been the recipe for success for me.

@Jason146

Thanks for this - yes, you and I do flexible similarly and for the same reasons! 😎

i believe in delivering 3M’s

1) Memorable

2) mesmerising

3) Create your MAGIC on the guest

In simple words, Welcoming guests like family and sending them home with memories.

@Vikram44 , that sounds like an interesting strategy! What are your main focus points when welcoming guests? Do you go for a virtual check-in or prefer to do an in-person check-in with guests?
