I have a firm cancellation policy with a non-refundable option.
Just today I had a guest cancel his Labor Day weekend reservation 9/1-9/5. It appears he received no penalty and I receive zero payout even though he cancelled 28 days prior to his check-in date. He did not choose the non-refundable option.
Here is the copy and paste "Firm" cancellation policy text from Airbnb... "Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked between 30 and 14 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that."
Am I reading or understanding this policy incorrectly?
I guess you refer to the "Strict" cancellation policy.
Did the guest cancelled within 48 hours after booking ?
@Emiel1 Airbnb has a new "firm" policy:

THank you !
But seems also under this policy this guest could have cancelled within 48 hours and receive full refund .. or Airbnb AI have still to learn about the new "Firm" cancellation policy.
