We are curious how other hosts are dealing with reservations: we host guests in our home while we are there. Many of our reservations are coming from COVID "hot-spots". We are older (67+76) and need to be cautious because of our ages. I'm not certain if I should accept reservations or cancel the ones we have gotten.
I share my home and have blocked out my listing until at least September as I am in a high risk group.
It sounds as if you have decided to take a different approach, as you are still accepting bookings @Pamela192
I will go into my calendar and block out my listing as well. @Helen3 would you also cancel any current reservations? I am a Superhost but truth be told my health is more important.
I agree you health definitely is. I have asthma so can't risk it.
I am not sure what will happen if you cancel.
Have a look at Airbnb's EC policy for the covid virus to see if you can cancel penalty free. If not give them a call, explain your health concerns and see if they will help,
Good luck.
Thanks, @Helen3 , I did go into my calendar and I blocked out into October. I'll get in touch with Airbnb to find out about cancelations. We don't have any underlying conditions (that we know of), just our age. And because we live near a huge tourist destination (Yellowstone National Park) we have to be vigilant. Thanks again.
