We need a phone number to speak with someone. Thank ypu
@Dean724 If the listing in question says 'pet friendly', then read the description and house rules thoroughly to see what that host's rules are regarding pets. If it says 'no pets', then you don't bring a pet. If you haven't found a listing you want to stay at yet, filter for pet friendly.
You can, and should, use the “contact host” function on a listing you are considering to ask questions like this.
Even if the listing says “pet friendly” you should tell the host what kind of pets you will be bringing with you.
@Dean724 You don't need a phone number. You need to read the listing's House Rules section near the bottom of the listing information (click on the arrow next to House Rules). If it says no pets, you can't bring a pet and don't ask the host to make an exception for you, they won't.
When you do find a place that accepts pets, please make sure to act responsibly- take the dog out for walks so it doesn't ever do its business inside, don't use the host's nice dishes as dog bowls (many pet friendly listings provide these, just ask the host before you go), ask the host for old towels or sheets to put on any furniture your dog gets up on iff the host doesn't already have these in place, and don't leave the dog alone for long periods of time.
One of the reasons many hosts do not allow pets is not because they don't like them- the host may have pets themselves- it's because past guests have been irresponsible pet owners.
