I mistakenly uploaded other people's ID as a government ID verification while trying to book on behalf of my friend. Wish to delete it and reupload my own, but it turned out to be a disaster!
Unable to delete old ID photo, contacted the support team, they always responded with super long msg with apologies and nothing they can be done!
As I grown impatient, they asked to delete account and recreate a new one. I was told by the system to wait for email verification before they can delete the account. The email still not yet sent after 3 days! Due to this issue, I lost my bookings and my account all jammed messed up!
What's the most effective way to settle this? call them directly? I am from Malaysia, what number should I call?
Seems to be a phonenumber for Malaysia according this list:

Please note:
- it is not allowed to book on behalf of a friend
- Better not mess up with ID's !
- Deleting an account means verification also:

@Yang132 Your friend needs to open their own account if they want to stay at an Airbnb. Third party bookings are against Airbnb's terms of service. The person who books the place has to be one of the people who will be staying.
@Emiel1 Thanks for the info. Will try to call and ask for help. Yeah, it is quite confusing, why not ask to take photos of government ID and headshot during the account registration but asked to do so in the middle of a booking process. I didn't need to do that during my last booking hence I was so confused.
@Sarah977 Yeah, I am quite new with Airbnb, not very familiar with the TNC. Now I know. Thanks.
