Hello everyone 😊,
I hope you’re having a great week!
Hosting often brings unexpected and memorable encounters, but it’s interesting to imagine who we would choose to welcome into our space. A celebrity guest could bring a completely different energy, whether it’s through inspiring conversations, unique habits, or simply a different perspective on travel and comfort.
If you could host any celebrity, who would it be and why?
I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts!
Warm regards,
Elisa 🌻

@Elisa I like to share our cottage with families as they are able to have a holiday by the beach that they can walk to.
Yes families do create more work with little fingers and more cleaning.
But hotels don't offer the same space, a kitchen to cook in( to save money) and a small garden to play in and privacy.
To be honest, I already feel like I host superstars every day. Every guest who stays is important to me, and seeing my calendar filled because of them is genuinely one of the things that makes me happiest as a host.
That said… if I could choose, I’d love to host the artists who shaped my childhood. It would be amazing to welcome Madonna, Phil Collins, Sting, Paul McCartney, or Kylie Minogue, artists who quite literally filled my ears growing up.
In the meantime, though, I’m more than happy with my own rockstars: my guests.
Regards,
Tommy
Hi @Tomás-Abarzúa---Smart-Suites-Chile-SpA0 😊,
That’s such a lovely way to look at hosting, your passion really comes through!
If you could host one of those artists tomorrow, what special experience would you want to create for them during their stay?

I love your question.
I would say I want someone who pays attention. I’m thinking on Keanu Reeves.
Not because he’s a celebrity. Because he disappears into spaces instead of dominating them. He travels light, observes, adapts. He wouldn’t treat my studio like a set. He’d actually inhabit it.
Hi @Anabel338 😊,
Thank you for commenting here!
Keanu Reeves, such a great choice from you.
How do you know so much about him? Did you read something online?
-----
If I could invite any celebrity to stay in my property, I would choose Keanu Reeves. I think he is not only a talented actor but also a very calm, kind, and respectful person. Despite his worldwide fame, he has remained humble and able to appreciate simple things such as peace, comfort, and sincerity.
I would love for someone like Keanu Reeves to stay in my home because I believe a property should be more than just a place to sleep. For me, it is important to create an atmosphere where guests can truly relax and feel comfortable. I think he would appreciate the cozy interior, the soft evening light, and the peaceful feeling I try to bring into the space.
I would also enjoy talking with him about travel, life, and how to stay kind and grounded when the whole world knows your name. I believe such a meeting would leave not only pleasant memories but also inspiration.
Most importantly, I would choose him not because of his fame, but because of his personality and human qualities. In the end, true comfort in a home is created not by expensive furniture or a beautiful view, but by warmth, respect, and a peaceful atmosphere between people.
Hi @Zen586 😊,
thank you for sharing this here!
That’s a very thoughtful perspective, I really like how you focus on the feeling and energy of the space rather than fame.
If you could highlight one element in your home that best reflects that peaceful atmosphere, what would it be?

Hi @Elisa, if I could open my doors to anyone, it would undoubtedly be Hayao Miyazaki. Ghibli films have been a profound teacher to me. I’ve always been moved by the calm, the peace, and how everything in his worlds flows with such natural simplicity. At Kiyo's Den, I try to capture that same 'Ghibli magic' by using materials like old leaves, wood, and thread to create art that feels like it belongs to the earth. There are so many reasons why his vision inspires my hosting, The Respect for Nature, like the lush landscapes in his film, The Beauty of Simplicity, He proves that you don't need high technology to present a beautiful idea, The Depth of Spirit, His films show a deep respect for everyone, a sense of unity, and a 'pure soul' approach to life. Whether I’m guiding a guest on a spiritual pilgrimage or just sharing a story, I want them to feel that same sense of wonder and respect. Hosting him would be a dream, but until then, I’ll keep trying to make every guest feel like they’ve stepped into a peaceful, hand-crafted world of their own."
Hi @Lazmee0 😊,
thank you for sharing this comment!
You’ve really captured the spirit of calm, nature, and storytelling in your hosting.
If a guest steps into your space for the first time, what’s the very first detail you want them to notice to feel that “Ghibli magic”?
-----
Hi @Elisa, thank you so much for the kind words! If a guest steps into my space for the first time, the very first detail I want them to notice the true Ghibli magic is the living, breathing atmosphere of the air itself.
In Miyazaki’s films, the wind and air are almost characters of their own, and I try to recreate that by making sure the first breath a guest takes feels noticeably fresh and pure.
Hi @Lazmee0 😊,
Thank you for your reply!
How come you are so passionate about movies?
That’s fantastic. Is it more of a hobby or work for you?

Rihanna! She once paid $500,000 to rent a home from an Airbnb host for a week! Insane. His house was worth 7 million though!
However? I did have a celebrity rent out my Miami condo for the chefs for their new restaurant. The celebrity didn’t reach out to me personally. Their business partner did.
Hi @Stanja0 😊,
Thank you for sharing this here!
I didn’t know about Rihanna either wow. Did you actually meet the celebrity at your condo?
-----
No. She’s a reality star. Not a frfr celebrity. But her business partner invited my husband and I to their restaurant. It was real good!
Their chefs stayed at our Airbnb.
Hi @Stanja0 😊,
I understand better now, thank you for clarifying that!
What type of restaurant was it? It sounds like a fun experience.
