It is time for a Holiday rhyme

We have not done this one in a while

It is time for our Holiday rhyme.

I will start and you fill the void

Holiday hosting is usually prime

But some guests are afraid of Covid

I used to leave cookies

I now leave masks

And even guest rookies

Expect no less

New Year is coming

Let's cheer to friends

Please pick up the rhyming

From where mine ends

I can not join your game

So this is my only way

To enter this hall of fame !

We've lit the Yule Log

And turned on all of the lights

They're bringing their dog

And staying 28 Nights

My guests brought a big Christmas tree

for 4 night stay at my Airbnb

they left and just dump it right on the street

they didn't think much about it

Like an old witch with a broom, I'm now sweeping away

the needles from rooms and building's stairway

ah crazy Americans and their Christmas tree

I could have been fined with a communal fee

But there is a happy end to this Christmas story

my young neighbor saw me and said not to worry

he took the tree and wrapped it with light

on his cafe's terrace now it shines bright
