Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Elisa @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new. 

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘

Hey! My name is Adam Hall and my wife Zoe and I run and operate Hallin & Co. Management here in Lynchburg, VA. We have been married for going on 6 years now and have 2 boys ages 3 and 1! We started our AirBnB journey 3 years ago and have completed well over 2,000 stays across all platforms. We got our start by wanting to rent out a townhouse that we moved out of which also brought about the start of Hallin & Co. Management. We have since then grown to co-hosting/ managing 25-30 properties. We are excited to grow and improve our business model and I am thrilled to join this community!!!

Hi i'm Marco born in Italy, raised in Chicago.  I am a retired Chicago Police officer married 31 years and we reside in Chicago for now.  We have a place in Houston where we put it up in the Airbnb program.  I'm a former college athlete so as you guys can guess 

i love sports.  i still play golf and a little softball and basketball.

Welcome. I would like to know the hosts' opinions and tips. My first guest. Upon departure, I was not able to come to receive the apartment and the key from him due to circumstances that made it difficult for me to attend. But I agreed with him to leave the key inside the apartment, lock the apartment, and leave. When I returned to the apartment, I found many things belonging to the guest, such as shampoo, creams, personal items, and many clothes. When I contacted him to talk about these matters, he told me to throw them away, and he blocked me on WhatsApp. Is it Mona fault for communicating with the guest after leaves the apartment? Should I get rid of everything that's left without returning to the guest?

Hello! My name is Bonnie Alexis McDaniel (i go by Alexis) and I am from McClure, Illinois. I just joined and am new to hosting. I just bought a house from my uncle who recently moved away. I decided to airbnb it to help me pay it off! He thinks it’s a great idea and is very supportive of it! The plan is to maybe purchase another property once I get this one paid for and do the same thing! Right now this is my main source of income and I have never done anything like this So any help or advice on getting more bookings would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there I’m Heidy, I’m from Ecuador but I live in California. I have been hosting an apartment with Airbnb in Quito-Ecuador for 5 years. I have traveled to many places in Europe and in the US. Ecuador has many places with different kind of weather within not very long distances. I particularly enjoy the hot springs of Papallacta. Still have a lot to learn from other hosts.
