Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new. 

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘

@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲

Thank you @Rebecca ! It's been a steep learning curve for sure - I'd say the peace of mind of being able to check the property status myself has felt challenging, but I do have fantastic service providers who have kept me up to date and been reliable. I've had to let go and trust in them. Being able to use automations and share my calendar with service providers has been fundamental

Hello, I am excited to join this community. I am in Northern Virginia (NOVA), which is quickly becoming the East Coast's Silicon Valley. I have been a host for over six years, and I recently regained Superhost status. I love to travel and learn about the diverse cultures of the world.

Thank you, @Elisa . I look forward to leverage my Superhost status and do greater things. I spent many years in Germany and have traveled to France, Italy, the UK, and Japan. I intend to visit more of Asia and the Middle East.  I would appreciate any recommendations. 🙂

Hi everyone, I’m Garrick. My husband Will and I host in Canaan, New York, nestled in the Berkshire foothills.

We live on 10 acres with our two spoiled dachshunds, Marlow and Dieter, and host guests in a bright, modern guesthouse we call Wiener Pastures (yes, it’s a play on “Greener Pastures”—dogs have always been part of this land’s story!).

We originally renovated the outbuilding as a space for family and friends. When it wasn’t in use, we found ourselves with a beautiful space sitting empty so we opened it up to short-term guests. While we’re relatively new to hosting, we’ve long loved hospitality, thoughtful design, and connecting with interesting people.

We love sharing local favorites (farms, hikes, small businesses) with our guests and are always up for learning from others in this community. Excited to be part of this community and grateful for the chance to learn from your experience.

Your listing sounds wonderful. Did you renovate it yourself, or did someone help you?

Do your guests usually stay short-term or long-term?

As for our renovations, we're a bit past doing reno's ourselves. But we are responsible for the layout and design; it was essentially an empty box when we moved here. 

And as for guests, we're welcoming short stay guests. Our main house doesn't have a spare bedroom so we use our guesthouse for family and friends when they come to visit.

Hello all. Hope you are all well  I just joined the community. I  went to Italy and spent a few days in Rome Aribnb and a few day is Venice Airbnb very good experience. I have a condo i Kitchener Ontario where l occupy a few day a week and travel alot. I decided to Airbnb the unit I have a CBD creams and oil business. These creams are awesome for skin. Best and 100% natural. i prepare 5 ml samples and leave them for clients. These creams are  non toxic to skin because they are natural that contains essential oils and vitamins.

The most enjoyable time was in Venice. Having lunch by river and watching the boats pass by. I had the best Fettuccini Alfredo ever. The alfredo sauce burst with flavour in my mouth.

Hi. My name is Robert and I live in Berkeley, CA. I just started hosting a lower separate unit that people seem to be enjoying. I'm fairly well travelled having been raised in Latin America and for the first time I visited Europe last year, in Italy. So much more to see. Can't wait.
