Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new. 

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘

@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲

Where do I event start 🙂 

First of all, the reservation volume is nowhere near what we expected (and what we were promised).

The woman we purchased the apartment from had this Airbnb listing. She suggested transferring the listing to me, I agreed. But what happened, it ended up transferring her "identification"... not sure how to explain. But tax form I received was for the whole year of 2024 even though I didn't event purchased the property until August of last year...Airbnb didn't even try to help. They simply closed the cases once they realized it's something more complex... And now I'm having yet another issue. This time with registering account with Factufiry (to pay Mexican taxes). Airbnb send the "invitation" link to register with Facturify. But that link is not working (it's to login, not register). And now it's day 5 of no resolution... Phew. Sorry. But I'm just so upset and frustrated 😞

What did Customer Support say about the link?

@Elisa They keep saying the engineering team is working to resolve it. The latest update I got is that they transfer the case to another team,,,

@Elisa Thank you for this thread the opportunity to introduce ourselves.

I'm Cyn and I host in Central London with over 700 five star reviews (Diva Property Services LTD). London is so alive and diverse, there is no place like it. I've travelled extensively myself, on and off the beaten track.

I am an investor, philanthropist (run my own tennis charity called Tennis2Be), and developer (built my own Airbnb!).

I became superhost in 2 months (just made it!). In the past I've been running and managing other peoples Airbnb's.I tried to ask landlords to rent their properties and kept getting NO's😢 so I built my own.

Looking to co host. I love cats, cars and 🎾 

Hoping that everyone archives their goals🙏🏼 as hosting can be a challenge!😊

@Elisa, it's going well thank you. I'm new but so far I've nearly had a free day. Today was another turnaround. I'm glad as will take a long while to break even after the build 🙏🏼
