New to the Community Center? Introduce yourself here โ€Œ๐Ÿ‘‡

Hello everyone! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Welcome to the Community Center! ๐Ÿ‘‹  I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling๐Ÿšฒ, playing footballโšฝ, and travelling๐ŸŒ . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.

@Bhumika  ๐ŸŒ I was born in Gujarat, India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ , and shifted to Toronto, Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ last year! ๐Ÿ“ท I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. ๐ŸŒ† When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ด and currently living in British Columbia, Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance ๐Ÿ’ƒ) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries ๐ŸŒŽ and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking ๐Ÿšฒ and hiking ๐Ÿ”.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist ๐ŸŒฟ and like to minimise my impact on the planet ๐ŸŒŽ as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming ๐ŸŒŠ yoga on the beach ๐Ÿง˜โ€ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! ๐Ÿ™Œ

@Elisa : I was born in Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น and as a lover of unique experiencesโ€”from exploring the streets of Rome๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น , Paris ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท, and Toronto ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ to appreciating timeless art and cuisineโ€”I'm here to blend the old with the new.

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey โœˆ๏ธ. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports โšฝ๏ธ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. ๐Ÿฅ˜

@Emilie : I was born in France ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท, raised in French Polynesia ๐ŸŒบ and Morocco ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. ๐Ÿฒ

Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Warm regards๐ŸŒป,

Elisa

I'm Cherisa. I live in my townhome half of the week and then am gone for half of the week. I like hosting: making my home a fun place to visit, telling people about the best places to visit and fun things to do nearby.

Hi @Cherisa0 ๐Ÿ˜Š

Welcome to the Community Center, it's wonderful to have you with us!

How do you make your listing a fun place to visit?
Would you like to share any tips?

Hi everyone! Iโ€™m Kae, and Iโ€™m excited to be starting my journey as a co-host here on Airbnb. Iโ€™m based in Tallahassee, Florida, and I recently decided to dive into the world of hosting by helping local (and hopefully virtual!) Airbnb owners manage and elevate their listings.

While Iโ€™m new to the platform, I bring a strong background in organization, communication, and guest experience โ€” and Iโ€™m passionate about creating calm, welcoming stays that leave a lasting impression. Tallahassee is full of hidden gems, from peaceful nature trails to rich history and culture, and I love helping visitors experience it all through a more personal lens.

Iโ€™m here to learn, connect, and contribute โ€” and Iโ€™m excited to grow alongside this amazing community!

Hi @Kae632 ๐Ÿ˜Š

Welcome to the Community Center, and thank you for sharing this lovely introduction!

Have you already found some listings to manage?
What kind of hosting would you like to get involved with as a co-host?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! Iโ€™m really excited to be here and start connecting with others in the hosting community. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I havenโ€™t landed any official listings to manage just yet, but I have received several messages from hosts expressing interest โ€” which has been really encouraging!

Right now, Iโ€™m open to both local and virtual co-hosting opportunities, especially supporting hosts who are busy, traveling, or just need someone dependable behind the scenes.

Iโ€™m also here to learn from experienced hosts and gain as much insight as I can as I work toward eventually becoming a host myself. Looking forward to being part of this space and growing with the community!

Hi @Kae632 ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you so much for letting me know!

Thatโ€™s fantastic, Iโ€™m wishing you all the best in this experience. ๐Ÿ˜

Do you need any additional support with this?
Please donโ€™t hesitate to reach out.

Iโ€™m definitely still getting the hang of things so if itโ€™s allowed, Iโ€™d love to connect with anyone open to sharing tips or letting me learn the ropes a bit. Just being able to learn from others would mean a lot as Iโ€™m getting started.

Thanks again, this community already feels so supportive ๐Ÿ’›

Seattle, WA

I'm Roger and I live in Seattle.  I owned student rentals in the U.S. for nearly 17 years and decided to sell those and get into the Airbnb market so I would not only be able to use the house myself but rent it to tourists.   I purchased a house in Italy (Cinque Terre area) 3 years ago and it's been great so far.  I enjoy 3-4 months a year in Italy and from May -Sept I rent it out to tourists.  The house has done well on Airbnb for the first 2 summers, increasing gross income year over year.  However this year there's been a drop in views for my property as well as reservations for my property on Airbnb.  Appparently I'm not the only one to experience this as others have posted in the Airbnb Community Center about this.  Others I know with properties near mine also are experiencing the same thing.  Curious how many others are experiencing this too and if there's something specific that is causing this?

Ciao @Roger1194 ๐Ÿ˜Š

Welcome to the Community Center, itโ€™s wonderful to have you here!

Your journey is truly inspiring. How do you manage your listing? Do you have someone helping you?

I understand your concern. If youโ€™d like to hear from other hosts and get their thoughts, I recommend ๐Ÿ‘‰ starting a new conversation here in the Community Center.

Sydney, Australia

Hi my name is Andrew. I live in Sydney, Australia. ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ We have two townhouses in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales about an hours drive from Sydney. They are both available as AirBnB properties and we are really happy with how they are going. We also love having somewhere to stay when we travel there. It's an area that is very popular for weddings so most our weekends are booked with wedding parties and their guests.
