Hello everyone! 😊
Welcome to the Community Center! 👋 I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘 and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌
@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.
@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘
@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards🌻,
Elisa

Welcome to the Community Center!
What a paradise Bali is. 🌴
How’s it going this hosting season? How long have you been hosting so far?

Hi, Guillaume here in London 🇬🇧! Originally from Paris 🇫🇷 but left the motherland over a decade ago, mostly in the UK & Hong Kong 🇭🇰 since. Occasionally renting our my flat above Hyde Park when I go on long trips! Redid it a few years ago with lots of love and trying to offer an alternative to nice hotels in the area. Finally getting down to putting some art on the walls... which hopefully my guests will love to.
Hi @Guillaume1146!
@Alex It has been pretty smooth. It feels great to have guest appreciate the effort you put into your place. And it can be frustrating when they don't follow house rules (like messing up the curtains...). But overall very good. And Hong Kong is a very fun city. Things changed a bit after Covid though, the expat vibe disappeared and now it feels less unique. Still a good base to work & explore in Asia!
It's on my bucket list! I'd love to visit some day. Wishing you the best in your hosting journey @Guillaume1146! You are doing great.
Hello Elisa,
We are very grateful to be part of this group and to have the opportunity to learn and share with other hosts. We are new Airbnb hosts, a Cuban couple with two children, who truly enjoy family time and have a strong passion for real estate.
My wife is a Pharmacy Technician and I am a Microbiologist. Currently, we own two properties: in one we live and have set up a studio space that we rent on Airbnb, and the second property is on long-term rental.
Because of our passion for real estate and hospitality, we would also love to offer our services as co-hosts or property manager for anyone who may need support. We speak both English and Spanish, which allows us to connect with and better serve a wide variety of guests and property owners. If anyone is looking for special care and personalized attention for their property and gests, we would be happy to help.
Thank you again for welcoming us into the community!
Hello @PandG-Home0 👋
I'm originally from the Netherlands but we moved to Florida in 2017, we live just behind Disney World. I run my own management company and manage 25 properties in the Disney area. My husband is a broker and has his own office. When I'm not working you can find me strolling around in Disney!
HI @Rebecca ,
We moved from the Netherlands 8 years ago but we already had the house for a few years.
Managing 25 properties is usually doable, although it can be very stressful at times, and I love to do it! Luckily friends of mine have a management business as well and we can take over if someone goes on vacation or has appointments.
My favorite Disney park is Epcot, I just love to stroll around there from time to time and unwind a bit. We do get a discount but that counts for all Florida residents (it is a lot cheaper to get an annual pass, I can't lie), it would be nice if they would give a discount to passholders so they can bring friends and relatives!
@Rebecca Sadly enough Disney doesn't give any extra discounts for tickets, it would be great if they would offer discounted tickets for annual passholders!
Epcot has multiple events throughout the year, at this moment the Food and Wine festival is running. Every night there's a concert (free when you have a ticket) in the American part of the park. I love it!
That's wonderful @Monique1281 😍 Thank you so much for sharing with me. I really do need to come back with my children soon!
