Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲

I’m Vivek from New Delhi, India 🇮🇳 recently got into hosting and enjoying the journey so far.

By profession, I’m into cybersecurity… and when I’m not doing that, I’m usually riding somewhere in the Himalayas on my Royal Enfield.

What a great introduction, @Vivek143, thanks so much for joining this conversation.

It’s great to learn a bit more about amazing hosts like you. I have to be honest: I had to Google Royal Enfield, at first, I thought you were referring to a bike, so now I understand better. Are you passionate about motorbikes, or is it more of a means of transportation?

It’s also interesting that you’re into cybersecurity, did you study it, or have you learned through job experience?

Haha, glad you Googled it 😄 Yes, Royal Enfield is a motorbike — and for me, it’s definitely more than just transportation. It’s something I genuinely enjoy, especially long rides in the Himalayas… that’s my way of disconnecting and resetting.

And yes, cybersecurity is my professional background. I studied it formally and then built on it through work experience over the years. It’s quite a different world from hosting, but interestingly, it helps me stay structured and detail-oriented here as well.

Such an interesting mix, @Vivek143, one thing seems to help the others.

I haven’t been to the Himalayas; the biggest mountain chains I know are the Andes and the Rockies. I’m passionate about nature, mountains, and outdoor activities. I used to do mountain biking, and nowadays I’m more into hiking.

Glad to learn more about you, and I hope you can share a few pictures of the amazing Himalayas one day 😍

Hi - I am Nisha. I live in Houston and just launched my very first Airbnb in Kissimmee FL (~2 miles from Disney) about 1 month ago. I've had a pretty nice first month, definitely learnt a lot with my fair share of good and not so great guests and happy to share my learnings as I go if this is helpful. Nisha
