Old Host will not Unlist my Property

So I am getting nowhere with Airbnb support on this issue and it is becoming quite a burdensome task. Basically, I managed a property (without using Airbnb) as co-owner for a few years before moving away, leaving the other owner to manage it. The other manager then hired somebody (X) who listed the property on Airbnb under his personal account. X was fired last year, and I have taken back the management responsibilities since I moved back to town, but the listings still remain under his personal account. People have told me that they have tried to message the account to book a stay but there is no response. Luckily they know I manage it, so they contacted me directly and I booked them myself (without Airbnb), but I really want to use Airbnb again.

I've asked X to remove the posts but he doesn't respond. Airbnb helped me send a letter to him, asking to un-list them, still no response. I'm assuming that he's ignoring these requests out of spite, but he truly has no LEGAL authorization to have the listings under his account and Airbnb won't do anything about it (yet). I know they are capable of un-listing them, but for some reason they haven't done it yet.

In the meantime, I'm losing valuable time and potential income (so is Airbnb), by not having real, active listings for the property.

I'll have to re-build the listings but I already copied everything from the old ones so it won't be hard. Just wish that Airbnb had a transfer capability so I can see all the messages that were being sent that never received a response. Those customers would be potential repeat customers (which is normal for the type of place this listing is located) who are now probably not going to try booking with us again.

Anyways - thoughts on how else I can approach this issue? I already reported the listings as "not real" as of today (06/28).

Thanks!

@Mary5059

You need to create the listings again anyway  (transfer of listings or account is not possible). You could act (temporary) as the co-host, but i understand it is not posssible as host is not cooperating/communicating .

So start from scratch. The "old" listings will be closed (suspended) soon if host is not responding to  inquiries or booking requests.

Thank you for your response @Emiel1 . I figured the old listings would already be suspended since it has already been a year and I know for a fact that people have messaged the account and received no response. It would be nice to know what the Airbnb protocol is for that situation.

Either way, I am going to create the new listings in the next few days, so hopefully this can be resolved by then and I'll be all set.
