Hello readers,
I opened up a resolution centre request on a recent stay due to poor conditions. I attached photographs and the host even agreed to refund me in person. However after 2 weeks I heard nothing back.
6 days ago I requested AirBnB step in and help resolve the issue. There has been no response for 6 days.
4 days ago I sent a message to AirBnB support with all the information. Unfortunately all I got back was "Thanks for your message — Airbnb Support will reply as soon as a specialist becomes available".
I am wondering how long does it usually take for this sort of request to be dealt with? I have seen online AirBnB are supposed to step in after 72 hours, but in my case it's been almost a week and nothing.
Do you have any advice on how I can progress my request?
Thank you
So it seems the host has not submitted the money, otherwise the Airbnb system would have handled things automatically. CS response is very slow recently. Sometimes a message via Twitter (account: AirbnbHelp) can boost things.
Best regards,
Emiel
Thanks Emiel. I posted and received a reply from AirBnB on Twitter on the 16th August as you advised. However, they STILL have not replied to my resolution center request where I ask them to step in.
They responded on Twitter asking me to DM them where they just confirmed they would look into the issue.
It has now been almost 4 weeks since I paid for the property and 3 weeks since I first raised the case with AirBnB. Is there anything else I can do?
Still no response. Any help would be greatly appreciated? If it goes on any longer I am going to dispute the payments on my Credit card
