Has anyone heard of this or done this before? Is it allowed?
Can you have a listing that asks the guests to clean on arrival? Linens, towels, bathroom if they want?
That is not in accordance with Airbnb standards:

Thank you for pointing that out.
@Jon21 Why would anyone want to book somewhere they would arrive to find a mess and dirty bedding and towels from the previous guest and have to start cleaning as soon as they arrived?
@Jon21 In order to have an active listing, hosts are currently required to agree to the Enhanced Cleaning Protocol. If the home hasn't been fully cleaned according to the requirements, the host is in violation of that agreement and the guest is entitled to a full refund. Disclosing in the listing that guests will have to clean on arrival would not exempt a host from the contract.
The fact that you as a host asked this question, despite having signed the pledge, is a great illustration of how people really aren't reading the agreements they're being strong-armed into signing. If it were up to me, Airbnb would eliminate the mandatory protocol and just require hosts to disclose which cleaning and Covid safety practices they perform and which they don't.
But no way in hell would I book a place that asks guests to clean on arrival. What a terrible way to start a vacation!
